Fourteen-year-old Christopher is a typical teenage boy – he loves computers, video games and new clothes. But Christopher’s experience is anything but typical. Christopher was diagnosed with liver failure as a very young child. As a result of his disease, Christopher received a liver transplant.
When it was time for Christopher’s magic moment, he chose a shopping spree. Huntsville Magic Maker volunteer Lara Kent said Christopher was a man of few words but knew exactly what he wanted. Christopher hopes to be a game designer some day, so, naturally, he wanted to shop for electronics. Christopher purchased a PSP, laptop, printer and several different games. In addition to the necessary electronics, Christopher made sure he will look his best at high school. Purchases of shoes and clothes for school were especially important to Christopher.
Christopher didn’t want forget his mother who had been through everything with him, so with the help of his Magic Maker volunteer he purchased a special gift for his mom. And he even delivered his gift with a kiss! Any mom would be proud!
