When 14 year-old Danyele learned she would be granted a magic moment, there was never any hesitation; Danyele wanted to meet American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks. Danyele’s Magic Maker, Emily, wasted no time and was able to talk with Sparks’ grandmother who said Jordin would be thrilled to meet Danyele.
Because of Danyele’s current treatment, she is unable to travel at this time. While still working on the face-to-face meeting to take place later this fall, Magic Moments and Jordin wanted to surprise Danyele with a web-cam meeting. In anticipation of the web-cam meeting, Jordin mailed Danyele a special gift which included a t-shirt, a cd and signed photographs.
On the day of the designated call, Danyele wore her signed Jordin Sparks t-shirt and eagerly awaited Jordin’s call. Jordin did not disappoint! Jordin and Dayele talked for almost an hour and discussed everything from spend-the-night parties, favorite songs, and plans for their eventual meeting. Jordin even sang Happy Birthday to several family members in the room. By the end of the call, there was not a dry eye in the room as both Danyele and Jordin promised to keep in touch.
