Magic Moment of the Month - December 2006
Alex, a 12-year-old from Elba, just got back from a wonderful trip to Orlando with his Mom, Dad and sister Amanda. When the family received their materials from Magic Moments, Alex’s mom, Shelia, said they were all so excited they could hardly sleep that night! They left Elba on a Saturday morning and drove to Orlando, stopping along the way to take in all the things they had always wanted to see and enjoy. Even with the sightseeing, they arrived at Give Kids The World Village right on time and were greeted by all the smiling faces at the Village.
Alex said there are just not enough words to explain how beautiful the Village is. As a matter of fact, he said it took his breath away. “There was so much to do and enjoy at the Village,” said Alex. One of his favorite memories is laughing himself silly one night while playing putt-putt golf. As if the Village weren’t enough, Alex and his family loved Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World, and they also managed to squeeze in a visit to Gator Land and the Kennedy Space Center.
However, the most wonderful time for Alex was visiting the Medieval Times Dinner Theatre. You see, Alex is such a history buff, and he just lives and breathes Knights and Folklore from that era. Shelia was a little worried because she says Alex is a “picky eater,” and she was afraid he wouldn’t like the meal. Not to worry, though, as Alex met the challenge and enjoyed the meal and the entire evening.
Shelia said this was a trip that they will always remember and said, “it was a trip of a lifetime for Alex.”
