Jonathan’s Wild Ride
Jonathan was like any other 10 year old until he was diagnosed with a brain tumor last December. After rounds of treatments, medications and frequent hospital visits, it was time for Jonathan to have a break. So when asked what his magic moment would be, he chose a family trip to Walt Disney World.
Upon arriving at the Give Kids the World Village, Jonathan was so thrilled that he could have ice cream for breakfast! Afterwards, he and his sister Kristin, along with their parents, hit the theme parks. Jonathan’s favorite ride was the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman, a 3D simulation ride at Universal Studios’ Marvel Super Hero Island which features a city landscape made to look like the pages of a comic book.
Jonathan is now at home and enjoying his summer. Although he will continue to take chemotherapy treatments, he looks forward to joining his classmates in school this fall.
