Goofy Brings a Big Smile!
Eight-year-old Jeffery started off the summer right! He, along with his parents and older sister, enjoyed a week long vacation to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. After being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (cancer) in September 2006, Jeffery has spent most of his time in and out of the hospital, but this past May he and his family finally got to do something they could enjoy together.
"It was fun!", Jeffery said. His favorite part of the trip was getting to ride the rides, especially all of the roller coasters. When asked which ride was his favorite, he couldn’t begin to pick just one. Jeffery also enjoyed meeting all of his favorite characters including Mickey Mouse and Goofy. As you can tell from the picture, Goofy helped bring a great big smile to Jeffery’s face.
Jeffery is now doing well and enjoying his summer vacation. He and his family said the trip was something they will never forget and hope that Magic Moments can continue to make dreams come true for other seriously-ill children so they will have something just as great to look back on.
