Magic Moment of the Month - March 2006
“Shop ‘til you drop!” was exactly what 12-year-old Nathaniel did during his magic moment. He wasted no time making his lifelong dream of going on a shopping spree come true. A sickle cell anemia patient, Nathaniel hit the ground running at the Montgomery Mall with excitement – and a long list of goodies!
“Unbelievable,” was how Nathaniel described his five-hour shopping spree. With an eye on all the clothes, shoes, and gadgets he has always wanted, Nathaniel had already taken the time to plan out his spree and map out his favorite stores before the shopping began. With his Mom by his side, he cruised through the mall putting together the coolest outfits and testing out the hottest electronics. His mother, who at many times had to hold back tears of joy, said her son deserved something special and was thankful Magic Moments was able to give it to him. Serving as her son’s official bag holder, she said it was a day neither of them would ever forget.
When asked what his favorite purchase was, Nathaniel beamed and raised the bag that held his brand new black and red race car jacket. While the shopping was the thrill of a lifetime, the chance to be carefree was what made the experience a true magic moment for Nathaniel.
