Lily Goes to Space… again and again!
Lily was just a few weeks old when her parents learned the devastating news that she needed a liver transplant in order to survive. It’s been a long road filled with doctor’s appointments, tests and medications, but Lily and her family have remained very positive.
Lily has experienced some difficult times and many trials during her life. So when asked what her magic moment would be, she knew she wanted to go to Disney World. Just a few months ago in September, Lily and her family headed to Orlando for a week filled with fun. Upon arrival at the Give Kids the World Village, she and her family knew it was going to be magical. They were greeted with open arms by the staff, and the smile on Lily’s face went from ear to ear. Her adventure had begun!
Lily loved her visit to Sea World where she got to meet Shamu and many other fabulous sea creatures. But most of all, she enjoyed the Magic Kingdom. She rode Space Mountain, a thrilling journey through outer space, almost 20 times on the first day! She also got to share a silly dance with Goofy, one of her favorite characters. Lily also thoroughly enjoyed the hugs and a special tuck-in from Ms. Merry, a giant bunny rabbit who serves as an ambassador for Give Kids the World. According to her mom, this was a special and amazing treat for the whole family.
