Magic Moment of the Month - October 2006

Looking for Adventure

Paul, a 17-year-old from Brent is a very adventurous teenager. He loves to go hiking and spend time in the woods. Paul would like to spend more time doing the things he loves but is unable to because he lives with a rare blood disease. When Paul was approached about a wish from Magic Moments, he knew that he wanted to visit one of the great national parks here in the United States - Glacier National Park. In July, Paul along with his mom, dad, brother and sister flew from Alabama all the way to Montana to experience as he put it “the trip of a life time.” He said that while on his trip, he saw the most beautiful mountains in the world and even saw a few bears. Paul also saw some of the largest trees he had ever seen. Some of the Redwood trees were over a hundred feet tall and so wide that he and his brother and sister tried to join hands and reach around the trunk of the tree but could not. While in Montana, Paul toured the Logan Pass Continental Divide, which has an elevation of 6,680. He had a wonderful trip, and he hopes to go again in the future.  Paul said that his magic moment was the greatest experience of his life!
