Magic Moment of the Month - September 2008
A Trip for a Princess
A trip fit for a princess. That is exactly the magic moment chosen by
9-year-old Madison. After battling cancer, Madison's dream of taking her
mom, dad and sisters came true this summer. They all flew (closer to
heaven according to Madison) to Orlando, Florida to stay at Give Kids
the World Village for a week. Madison felt like royalty as she had her
own personal greeter at the airport. The first several days, Madison and
her family visited Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Islands of Adventure,
Universal Studios and even SeaWorld. How did they have the energy for
all that? It must have been the ice cream that was available at the
Village anytime they wanted it.
It was the end of the week that topped off the entire trip... dinner with Cinderella and visiting the Magic Kingdom. Madison and her sisters were surprised at dinner one evening when they were joined by Cinderella, Prince Charming and even the evil step-mother and her daughters. Prince Charming even had the honor of dancing with the girls. This was one dinner fit for a princess. Finally, the day arrived for the Magic Kingdom. It was here that Princess Madison finally got to see Cinderella's castle. She and her family spent the day riding all the rides and enjoying the parade. The last day in Orlando was spent at Universal Studios before rushing back to the airport. What a way to end the week. Madison certainly won't forget this trip. Not only was it too wonderful to forget, but her mom took almost 600 pictures!
